孙维平，1947年7月生于西安，字河东、大平、京兆。号故道居士、天宝斋主、凤嶺山人、南坡居士、散关南坡樵夫、又号永兴道人、雁塔墨佛、曲江渔隐、慈恩外史、嘉陵江船夫。曾任陕西省凤县文化馆、西安焦化厂工会、国营西安钟表元件厂党委宣传部等单位美术宣传干部四十年。现为国家一级美术师、国家特级书法师、中国美术家协会会员、中国国家书画院副院长、世界美术家协会荣誉主席、中国名家书画院名誉院长、世界和平女神香港基金会书画艺委会常务理事、中国书法美术家协会理事、中国书法美术家协会理事、中国国际文艺家协会博学会员、中国美术家研究院学术研究员、中国国学研究会研究员、（香港）中国书法家协会副秘书长、中国航天书画院理事、中国国际艺术館唯一名誉馆长、中国书法家协会荣誉委员、世界教科文卫组织艺委会执行委员、首席艺术家、英格兰皇家艺术基金会永久学术顾问、台北故宫书画院名誉院长、客座教授。

1980年拜徐悲鸿、傅抱石大师的学生，原重庆囯画院副院长杨鸿坤先生为师，受其亲传指教，并受原陕西省书协副主席李子青先生、中国美协原理事、陕西省美协组联部部长安正中先生亲点指导，书法作品多以榜书、行书、草书见长，兼有甲骨、大篆、汉隶楷书等书体，行书、榜书大气磅礴、洒脱豪放，草书具有颠张、二王之神韵，毛体于书之法度，更有徐渭、傅山之妙法、书作如行云流水、神采飘逸，有㳺龙惊鸿之态、腾蛟起凤之气势；国画作品尤以人物、山水见长，代表作品有；《傅山作书图》、《薛瑄过凤县图》、《青藤狂书图》、《高士观瀑图》、《北京晨曲图》（30米长卷）、《秦岭云海图》、《峨眉山云海图》、以及用近三年时间创作的《浩瀚秦岭图卷》（240米长卷）等等作品，其作品气势恢宏，具有南方金陵画派和巴蜀画派传神细腻的特点、又有长安画派粗旷豪放的风格，有较强的艺术感染力。2009年4月在西安亮宝楼举办"浩瀚秦岭.孙维平书画艺术作品展"，2013年8月在江苏连云港博物馆举办"孙维平书画作品展"。五十多年来书画作品屡获大奖。曾获中华世纪艺术名家名作奖金奖、中华艺术华表奖金奖、首届人类贡献奖一文化艺术类书法金奖、书作参展第三届中国艺术节大联展。近年来书画作品荣获：庆祝联合国成立70周年纽约展、获最具收藏书画艺术家称号。
